Nigerian London-based gospel musician Samuel Nwachuku, popularly known as CalledOutMusic, has shared a profound message on his social media platform that has resonated with many in the creative community. The talented artist, who is also an accountant, reflected on his journey and the valuable lessons he learned from pursuing a degree in accounting.
CalledOut Music revealed that although he hasn't directly used his accounting degree in his music career, the skills and knowledge he gained have made him a more efficient artist. He emphasized the importance of being multifaceted and having multiple sources of income, advising fellow creatives not to limit themselves to just one talent or skill.
"Sometimes I genuinely forget that I'm a whole accountant," he wrote. "Though I haven't used my degree directly, studying accounting has made me more efficient as an artist... Having an understanding of how my accounts work, using little to achieve much, and just being a more knowledgeable & well-rounded individual who is able to be useful in different spaces has definitely set me apart in many ways."
He encouraged creatives to explore other passions and interests, saying, "Just because you're gifted at something doesn't always mean you have to be one-dimensional and just do that one thing. The world belongs to people who are multifaceted... Don't limit yourself, you have so much more to offer!"
CalledOut Music's words of wisdom serve as a reminder that our talents and skills are not mutually exclusive, and that embracing our versatility can lead to greater success and fulfillment. His message has inspired many to rethink their approach to their creative pursuits and explore new opportunities for growth and development.
