On the 6th of March, 2025, the Perpetual Impact Foundation (PIF) will once again demonstrate its unwavering commitment to improving maternal and child health in Ghana. Dubbed  “Independence Day With Tewa,” this year’s flagship event will take place at the Kom Presbyterian Hospital in Aburi, focusing on preterm management and neonatal care.

The Perpetual Impact Foundation stands as a beacon of hope for mothers and babies, particularly those affected by preterm birth. Preterm babies, often born with underdeveloped organs, face significant challenges in their early days, and many families struggle to afford the care needed to sustain them. PIF addresses this critical issue by educating and counseling pregnant women, women of reproductive age, and mothers of preterm babies on cost-effective interventions and best practices to improve survival rates.

This year’s event will include educational sessions, counseling, and the donation of essential hospital equipment and consumables to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Kom Presbyterian Hospital. Additionally, mothers will receive care packages to support them during this critical period. These efforts align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3, which aims to reduce neonatal and under-five mortality rates globally.

While the Foundation’s short-term objectives focus on immediate support for mothers and babies, its long-term vision is even more ambitious. PIF aims to provide incubators to health facilities in underserved areas, particularly those on the outskirts of Ghana’s cities, where access to life-saving equipment is often limited. These incubators will play a crucial role in ensuring that preterm babies receive the care they need to thrive.

The Perpetual Impact Foundation’s tagline, “Shaping generations through you,” reflects its belief in the power of collective action. PIF calls on the public to join hands in this noble cause by contributing in cash, donating hospital equipment and consumables, or providing other essential products. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a lasting impact on the lives of these vulnerable babies and their families.

As we celebrate Ghana’s Independence Day on the 6th of March, let us also celebrate the spirit of giving and compassion. Together, we can shape a brighter future for generations to come. Join the Perpetual Impact Foundation in its mission to reduce neonatal mortality and ensure that every child has the chance to live a healthy, fulfilling life.
