Gospel singer Chidinma Ekile has revealed the astonishing encounter that convinced her to transition from secular to gospel music. In a recent interview, Chidinma shared that she went on a 90-day retreat, praying and fasting on a mountain top to hear from God.

A Spiritual Awakening

During her retreat, Chidinma disconnected from social media and the world, seeking only God's guidance. Though the journey was challenging, she persevered, and it was during one of her prayers on the mountain top that she heard a voice telling her to jump off the cliff. However, an unseen force held her back, and she realized it was a test of her faith.
 

Following God's Lead

Chidinma explained that she didn't immediately switch to gospel music after winning the Project Fame reality show. Instead, she continued doing secular music to support her family and herself. However, she eventually felt God's prompting to dedicate her music to Him. Now, she seeks God's direction for every step of her career.

Relationships and Boundaries

Chidinma acknowledged that her transition affected her relationships with secular colleagues and fans. While some understand and respect her new path, others may see her as no longer approachable. Nevertheless, she prioritizes her relationship with God, trusting in His guidance.
