CLICKSCROLLS MARRIAGE
Mr Deg
Unfortunately, many marriages have become mere coexistence, lacking emotional intimacy and affection. Couples rarely show physical affection, only doing so when celebrating good news or in times of illness. In some cases, a husband may only assist his wife with eating when she's terminally ill. Chivalrous gestures like opening car doors are often seen as a sign of a faulty door handle rather than a romantic gesture.
In some African cultures, a man may only touch his wife's neck when she's complaining of fever, and even then, only to check her temperature. A man may only carry his wife in his arms when she's in labor. Couples may sit outside at night, but it's not a romantic gesture - they're just waiting for the insecticide smell to dissipate.
Gift-giving is often reserved for when one partner is hospitalized. Couples may only go for walks together when there's danger or a crisis. Evening strolls are usually taken to discuss issues with their child's partner or parents. Bath time is only shared when both partners are running late for work.
A wife may only closely examine her husband's eyes when he complains of dirt or irritation. Sadly, many couples view each other as mere parents of their children, lacking emotional connection.
It's time to change our mindsets and prioritize building loving relationships. Romantic gestures shouldn't be seen as a sign of weakness or control. Let's strive to make our marriages a paradise on earth, filled with love, affection, and emotional intimacy.
