Mr Deg
Many pastors are frustrated because they don't fully understand their divine assignment. Not everyone is called to lead a mega church with thousands of members and multiple branches. Unfortunately, in Africa, the size of a congregation often determines a pastor's respect and influence, leading many to prioritize building a large church over their health and family.
Early in my ministerial journey, I learned the importance of understanding my assignment. I was surprised to discover that prominent ministers like Kenneth Copeland and Mike Murdock have relatively small congregations. What I learned is that impactful pastors know their assignment from God, and ministry impact is not measured by congregation size.
Some pastors have a global ministry assignment but are hesitant to launch out because they don't have a mega church. It's essential to be driven by your assignment, not by the desire for a large congregation. If God has called you to plant branches, go ahead and do so. Respected ministers like John Maxwell, Samuel Chand, Joyce Meyer, and George Barna may not pastor large churches, but they have a significant global impact.
In today's ministry landscape, the size of your congregation and the grandeur of your church building often determine your invitation to speak at conferences and churches. However, every pastor needs a solid base for administrative purposes, including a good administrator, office systems, and procedures to ensure effectiveness.
Many pastors with a decent-sized congregation can draw thousands to their events, fulfilling their ministry assignment without having a mega church. Men like Morris Cerullo, Benny Hinn, and Billy Graham never had a church, but they fulfilled their divine assignment. Don't let the pressure to build a mega church hinder you from fulfilling your God-given assignment.
